Reunion at Museo di Roma, Piazza Navona

Rome, August 2019. Columbia University Alumni, many in senior management positions, attended a Museo di Roma photography exhibition, and subsequent drinks in the same venue, Palazzo Braschi.

Alumni attending the aperitif hailed from all over the world, thanks to a spirited outreach by members. Many professions were present, particularly those working in digital transformation (Jeethendra Babu, Angelo Gazzoni, Amine Jabali, Prashanth Mallanna, Gladys H. Morales), and financial strategy.  Domiciles included Colombia, India, Italy, Lebanon, Panama, and Saudi Arabia,  the origin countries of our CAA team, Turkmenistan and Germany.   A decidedly inclusive and global crowd.  We shared recollections of life in New York City and appreciation for Rome, even in the middle of August.

The Museo di Roma photography exhibition featured the inception of photography in the 1850s to the present-day age of selfies and YouTube.  Organized by Claudio Parisi Presicce and Federica Pirani, it celebrates 180 years of a technique which has found artistic and documentary expression in the hands of the many artists, archaeologists, and urban historians mapping and depicting Rome.
